Finale Artwork

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Here is the inspiring artwork submitted by the community for the LG15: The Resistance finale.

By Milo:

per⋅se⋅ver⋅ance

Steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.

It’s really the one word that means “we will not be stopped,” right?

The Finale in One Word

Monday, December 8th, 2008

What are your expectations for the finale? Can they be summed up into one word? Use the following pictures to create your own finale graphic and use one word to describe this season, the plot, the characters, and/or the twist you predict will occur.

I’ve chosen one word to I think describes each character’s motivation this season.

Maggie: SALVATION

Jonas: RETRIBUTION

Sarah: REDEMPTION

 Reed: SOLIDARITY

Download these and other Resistance photos on flickr.  Submit your artwork for InsideLG15 to amanda@lg15.com. Thanks! I can’t wait until Friday!

LG15 Holiday Songs

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Some of the comment board regulars have been extra busy composing LG15-related holiday songs. Check out these great videos and lyrics!

Jonas Balls by Onychea:

12 Weeks of Lonelygirl15 by Onychea:

Orderites are Coming to Town by chaosdestroystheorder:

You better watch out
You better not cry
OpAphid will Watch you with a big scary eye
Orderites are coming to town

They’ll steal all your blood
And kill all your friends
Their Eternal Song, well it never ever ends
Orderites are coming to town

They know just when you’re sleeping
They see you all the time
You make it really easy for them
When you post it all on line

Oh, you better watch out
You better not cry
OpAphid will Watch you with a big scary eye
Orderites are coming to town

Away in a Bathtub by SouthSideHope:

Away in a bathtub
filled with beer cans
our fearless leader
can no longer stand

Drinking for hours
has taken its toll
to find out whats wrong
the cameras must roll

Drunk and disheveled
Jonas’s speech is not clear
Hes says hes giving up
He is loaded with fear

But tomorrow’s a new day
and the community will ask
“Jonas stop brooding
and get your head out your ass”

I Saw Maggie Kissing Jonas Clause by Jen:

Lifesblood is coming, time to race
But Reed wears a funny smile on his face
Reed has a secret
And the secret he must share
He wants to tell somebody
So he tells his video blog friends!

I saw Maggie kissing Jonas Claus
On the stairs last night
She didn’t see me creep
Down the stairs to have a peek
She thought that I was tucked up in my bedroom (With Sarah)
Then, I saw Maggie tickle Jonas Claus
Underneath his unsuspecting beanie
Oh, what a laugh it could have been
If JENNIE had only seen
Maggie kissing Jonas Claus last night

I saw Maggie kissing Jonas Claus
On the stairs last night
She didn’t see me creep
Down the stairs to have a peek
She thought that I was tucked up in my bedroom (With Sarah)
Then, I saw Maggie tickle Jonas Claus
Underneath his unsuspecting beanie
Oh, what a laugh it could have been
If JENNIE had only seen
Maggie kissing Jonas Claus last night

Fearsome Foursome

Now that our fearsome foursome is back together, will they be able to put aside their bickering, jealousy, and sexual tension long enough to bring down Lifesblood Labs?

Week 12 Music - Celldweller

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

celldweller

“It’s time to take ahold of what belongs to me, it’s time to walk away with no apologies.”

Music by: Celldweller
Suggested Listen: Soundtrack For the Voices In My Head Vo1.
Recommended Tracks: Birthright, Through the Gates, Pursuit of the Hunted

Our last chapter of the season features the industrial nu-metal stylings of Detroit’s very own, Celldweller.

Let me start by clearing this up. Celldweller is actually one guy who goes by the name Klayton. He creates the kind of music you score your film to. It’s dark, it’s intense but it’s not over the top. He’s probably a teddy bear but his music freaks us out in a good way. Klayton is about to release a record called “Soundtrack for the Voices in My Head Vol. 1” that will be heard in films and TV shows for years to come. And thanks to Celldweller and trueAnthem, you can download this record for FREE all week.

Celldweller really took off in 2003 with a self-titled online-only release that debuted at #17 on Billboard’s Digital Charts. Literally every song on Celldweller has been featured in a movie, video game or TV show. According to its’ label, this feat has been matched by only two other artists: Moby and The Crystal Method. We figured we didn’t want to be the ones left out, so we asked and got lucky!

Now, I’m curious about the close ties between the name Celldweller and the music. Did some googling and found that “Celldweller” reportedly started as a nickname given to Klayton by some friends who said he spent all of his time in the studio. Still, fans maintain that the ‘real’ meaning of the name or the motivations and thoughts behind the songs is entirely unclear. Celldweller publicly claims the name refers to “personal and cultural bondage” but many people, myself included, don’t buy it. I wonder if there’s some even darker, cooler, mysterious stuff going on?

A couple of releases and a few more movies later and we get to Celldweller’s latest work and the opportunity to preview it for you here, first (ignore that Scion commercial from September). I hope you enjoy these three tunes and lose yourself in this last Chapter of LG15: The Resistance. As always, thanks for listening, thanks for watching.

On the Fly. Off the Cuff.
Birthright – real deal harmony between music and words.

Through the Gates - Techy. Intense. Triumphant.

Pursuit of the Hunted – freaky stuff.
