Does this mean that there will not be a Season 2 yet of LG15:TR? Will LG15:TSIY act as the next series installment in the LG15 Universe, as well as the ongoing Season 2 of LG15:TR? Is LG15:TR over? When is the Season 2 coming of LG15:TR, if it is? Will LG15:TSIY shows act as official shows that will be covered completely on the LGPedia?

I’m liking the sound of this…
December 15th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
Ditto to what Kevin said. lol

is lg15:TR over?? i really would like to see another season. it has incorporated everything we liked about the shows and made it into one awesome show. i hope you guys continue with it
and also, is lg15: the show is yours going to be a long term thing. will it exist at the same time as lg15: TR and is it just one show. how is it picked??
if you all could, would you mind posting a little bit more about TR and the show is yours. it would be very helpful to have more information, because at this moment it am very confused..

Sounds cool. This might actually encourage me to create something that I was thinking of. Still, I would REALLY like to know when the second season will be coming out. It’s all I can think about! I’m checking the site numerous times a day to see if it’s been announced. Please don’t leave us hanging for too long! I want Danielbeast!

“We’re excited about a Season Two of LG15: TR and are working towards making that a reality.”
What?
December 15th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
so no one knows when season 2 starts?
December 15th, 2008 at 10:20 pm
That’s rather vague, but any change at this point is good change.
December 15th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
There better be a season 2, I want more Evil Hot Sarah or Hot Evil Sarah. Whichever you prefer.
December 15th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
This is a good move, LG15. I’m excited.
December 15th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
guys, this basically means season 2 of The Resistance may never happen. i hope i’m wrong, but they are saying this ‘new show’ is the focus for now.
December 15th, 2008 at 11:39 pm
I’d really hoped for more definite news about season 2, especially after the huge cliffhanger you left us on.
I’m glad your increasing the role of community shows though, that’s a good move and I’ve been waiting for some kind of word on that during the hiatus between seasons.
But I won’t lie, this announcement makes me nervous. The 12 in 12 built up a lot of excitement and momentum.
December 15th, 2008 at 11:58 pm
i dont think LG15: TR is over
i just think they want to focus on making the site COMPLETELY user friendly before coming back to the resistance storyline
December 16th, 2008 at 12:54 am
To clarify - are you looking to highlight community shows, or will the featured shows become canon?

I’ve been with LG15 since the first quarter or so of season one. You probably know me as the guy wit ha ton of crazy ideas… and here are just a few more. It may sound like I’m being nitpicky, but I’m that is not my intention. You are still on the bleeding edge of a new media format that began with the first season and there is a lot that is still undefined in terms of best practices and what works and what doesn’t.
1. Move the back end of the web site to WordPress MU: http://mu.wordpress.org Then you can use the loads of WP plugins to add and control the features you want as well as write the ones you want that don’t exist yet. The LG15:TR site redesign looks good, but the usability has left a lot of features out. With MU you can feature official blogs on the home page and give each user their own blog, etc. A few custom php scripts to make permissions etc work and you’re golden.
2. Focus on one character (at a time). The first season was a smash it, I would surmise, partly because it focused on Bree. Run with the common cliche of lead actor and supporting roles for a bit. It helps keep people focused. (Look at Star Wars - 4,5, and 6 were all about Luke and 1, 2, and 3 were focused on Anakin.)
3. Close up perceived plot holes quicker.
4. To facilitate #3, have a plot outline and character motivations and backstories laid out but leave the scripts a little more fluid. With the amount of audience interaction in this format, you might want to take some ideas from role-playing games and how to best run them.
5. Bring back the Public vs. Private videos. Having a relatively secure method in story, of communicating with the audience where the protagonist(s) won’t see them is a good thing.
6. Establish closer ties with your partner services, such as YouTube, iMeem, etc. especially the minor ones such as Twitter, StickCam, etc. Longer relationships and usage lend the story more credibility as well as give the audience a more constant set of input. Be careful about redundancy of certain aspects - like videos posted to YouTube, MySpaceTV, Hulu, etc. They need to be consistent and as simultaneous as possible.
7. Create an “out of game” wiki for creators of related fan content, which delineates cannon and the things the fan creators should no mess with without direction from You, The Creators. It might be a good idea to request fan creators register there and you could clarify any copyright issues - like “Follow these rules and you’re officially licensed to make fan content.” It keeps ownership in your hands while allowing freedom of the fans to create derivative works. Along these lines, you might want to create a logo for official content and another for fan content - hosted on your server, to use as a sort of “web bug” where you can track hits as well as indicate to the general public that this is a part of the LG15 universe.
8. While KM didn’t last long, I still think parallel stories might be a good idea if you have the resources.
9. While the weekly summaries are a good idea, their usefulness to the story became less integral once it was pointed out that Maggie was HoN. I kind of liked the idea of the HoN being an underground Resistance group on the same side as TAAG yet remaining completely hidden in the shadows. It would have indicated that TAAG were in fact pawns in a much larger game. Some sort of summary including highlights would also be good for each season for those just coming on board. New fans seem to be quite lost and need to watch hours of short videos to catch up….
10. Keep up the good work! You’ve made an incredibly good balance between drama and action, adult, realistic themes with a PG-13 acceptability, and a complex story line and world.

TSIY?
The resistance was awesome!
TSIY may not be a bad idea, though.
The Setting: Washington DC, London.
The Main Cast: Jonas, Reed, Estelle, Daniel, Taylor, Steve.
The Main Villains: Sarah, Lucy, Alderman, Caruthers, Rupert Van Helden (he is still alive, right?), and Terence!
The Plot: Caruthers becomes the President, Rupert Van Helden becomes Prime Minister, and the cast actually becomes Resistance fighters, trying to fight government-funded projects to get the trait-positive girls (and now guys, AKA Jonas) out of those facilities to safe places.
Tell me that I couldn’t be a writer on this show. That would be sick Nasty.

“We’re excited about a Season Two of LG15: TR and are working towards making that a reality.”
i guess that means there will be an indefinite wait on season 2 then?
bummer

I am kind of excited to see what other LG15 fans come up with! Though I really hope a season 2 will happen, I am glad it has lasted this long due to all the people I have met!!!!

The main character NEEDS to be female. And she needs to be lonely. And she could at least pretend to be…15. Get back to your roots.

Well, I’m SUPER impatient for season two of LG15: TR, but I guess I’ll just have to find something to hold me over until then. I’m contemplating the idea of trying to make my own show, like what this post is talking about. I came up with an idea a few weeks ago and I’m kind of into it…and hey, anyone can make videos, right? If I’ve got the ideas and I enjoy it, I might as well. Now would be a great time to buy a digicam…

I really like that you guys are gonna fix the website, because that’s been bugging me since the day lg15 TR started. But it seems like season 2 isn’t coming for a long, long time. I don’t know if that’s a good thing.
The 12in12 was really good and a lot of people have regained their faint in lg15 because of it, I’m one of them. People are excited about what’s gonna happen next, I don’t think you can leave people with that excitement feeling for a long time or it will go away and the longing for the start of a second season will pass. I think the community idea is good, but I think it’s best if that will last a few weeks and not any longer. I really hope you guys won’t let this TSIY thing last for 4 months or so, before continuing back to the real story.
I like community videos, but there need to be a second season of the Resistance. If it’s only to wrap things up, you can’t leave us with all those loose ends of the 12in12.

reply to bianca23:
I agree and disagree. I agree that the Season 2 for TR needs to come quickly, but the TSIY shows should last way longer than a few weeks! Season 2 for TR and Season 1 of TSIY shows can go on simultaneously, just the way LG15 and KM did. RIGHT?
December 16th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
I think season 2 will probably start ater LG15 TSIY is over after 8 weeks.

An addendum to my comment above:
Regarding the idea of a focus, it might be interesting to focus on one of the at-large guys - Reed or Daniel in one POV story line and have a parallel show from the POV of Sarah, with each being the other’s protagonist…

Dixie- that is a REALLY nice idea!
