The Ascension: 12in12 lonelygirl15 Series Finale
On FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, an astrological event will occur known as a total eclipse of the sun. The sky will become dark as a shadow is cast across the sky. For a moment light will cease to exist. As The Order tries to induct a new Elder, four friends will stop at nothing to end The Order’s reign and restore the natural cycle of life to the world.
At 8:00 AM PACIFIC (11:00 AM EASTERN) the lonelygirl15 series finale will begin. 12 videos in 12 hours will mark the end of lonelygirl15, but the fight has just begun.

I’m SO excited for this, though I have to admit that I’m ever-so-slightly disappointed that it’s not a 24-in-24. I guess that would’ve been a LITTLE ridiculous, though.

oh my gosh. that picture is amazing.
it reminds me of some of the series photos for Buffy The Vampire Slayer, (which is my absolute favorite tv show thats no longer on)

Taking the latest video into consideration, I’m looking for the symbolism in this picture. The fact that Sarah’s with TAAG and the description mentions “four friends” implies that Sarah’s going to be on TAAG’s side. But the fact that there’s a gap between her and the rest of the group and that Daniel had his back to her probably means they probably don’t want her around them or won’t forgive her, not that I blame them. I don’t even want to think about what Taylor’s absence could mean, but hopefully it’s just because she’s a recurring character these days instead of a main one. I just hope all is forgiven and they can become one happy, angsty family again, and that there won’t be a hugely tragic ending. A bittersweet one in the vein of KateModern’s ending, sure, but I want all of TAAG to get through this intact.
Of course, I’m getting my wisdom teeth taken out August 1, so I may not even be able to find out until after the fact. After devotedly following this for a year, I’m going to be groggy from drugs on the single most important day of the entire series. Figures.
And let me just say I love the Ascension logo, it looks awesome!

I’m glad to see the 12 in 12 format has continued since the Season 1 finale. We fans always want more more more, but any more than 12 in one day really would be too much.
I think an interesting finale alternative would be 12 videos (or so) spread across 3 days, with a mini-cliffhanger at the end of day one and day two, and perhaps puzzles or something to investigate/discuss/interact about overnight… It might be 12 videos in 3 days with 2 live events … “12 in 3 w/ 2″

speaking from a photographers point of view..whoever shot that is an excellent photographer..i love the darkness to it and the shadows..it really gives it that eery feeling

awesome! so glad it’s a 12in12, i have to admit i’d be kind of disappointed if we went out on a 4-video day! im really annoyed though, chances are i won’t be able to get the whole experience, waiting for each video to come, getting excited as it gets closer to the hour, as i’m going away for my aunt’s wedding. grr!

Ah, I won’t be able to watch them as they come out! I’m busy ALL DAY on the 1st.
It’s a great picture. I guess we won’t be seeing Taylor again until the finale, if then! I hope they rescue her. Then maybe she could be in the next show. She keeps almost coming back!

Design wise … I am LOVEN the badge. Great use of shadows! It gives everything a grungy, creepy feeling to it. ( Kudos to the photographer and the designer that put that together! From one graphic designer to another, EXCELLENT work! )
I’m so pumped for this finale, I know it’s going to be a great ride. Oh, before I forget! I’m getting MAJOR Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes from that picture. Iono … something about it just reminds me of that element from the BvTS.

I thought about it, and I’m starting to agree with qthec… Any more than 12in12 would be too much of a good thing. I mean, c’mon, guys: do we really need to pull an all-nighter to watch LG15? LOL.
Anyway, I’m majorly pumped for this, and I think I’m going to marathon the series in preparation for the finale.
BTW, Creators, the last two-months-or-so (since the Prom event) have been packed with excellent videos. Great job!

sooooooooooo excited for it…but i have to work at 9am est which totally suckkks!! i doubt ill be able to get on and watch it @ work…dont know if its blocked and i really cant afford to get caught…:( totally sucks!! aug 1st should be a holiday
specially since ive watch lg15 since almost the beg, its a shame i wont be able to see what happens till 6pm est!!
