The LG15 Universe
We are so overwhelmed by the outpouring of emotion that the community has expressed with the end of lonelygirl15. Since our announcement yesterday, there has been a lot of great discussion about lonelygirl15, the new show, and what this means for the community. I personally wanted to clarify a few possible misconceptions you might have as a result of our post.
First, in our minds LG15 is a Universe taking place around the story of The Order, an evil secret society that has discovered the existence of very rare girls that carry a special blood trait. Blood from these “Trait Positive” girls can extend the life of anyone who can transfuse the blood into his/her body. lonelygirl15 is the first show living within the LG15 Universe and KateModern was the second. We plan on telling MANY more stories within the Universe, including upcoming shows in Europe and the new one in the US.
Second, the new show is not going to be a fusion of lonelygirl15 and KateModern. Instead, it will take “the best things from each show,” meaning that we will apply what we’ve learned from producing them over the past two years – writing, interactivity, 12 in 12’s, etc. There might be some familiar characters in the new show, but we do not intend on combining the two series.
Finally, the heart and soul of the LG15 Universe is www.LG15.com and will remain so with the new website. The LGPedia, forum, Community videos, and InsideLG15 will all continue to be a part of the site.
We look forward to the LG15 Universe and it’s mythology living on for years to come with new characters and storylines. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the comments below.

Have you already solidified the cast for the upcoming new show? [ I ask because I missed the ‘Fight the Order’ contest and I would love to pull an Evergreen and be featured in an episode or something. ]

Is this new series going to contain our current cast? Or some of them? I think we need at least one key person, that has the back knowledge to continue the story line of the order and trait positive girls. So like if it was just Jonas, or just Daniel, or any of them.

I agree with “dark” Would we be able to purchase a DVD of LG15 or KM? I totally would and I THINK a lot of people would buy it.
Ive been wanting to get one REALLY bad to show family/friends what ive been watching, and my family seems intrigued. And I dont know if they want to go through 500+ videos. I know itd take me a while….
Anyways…thats be killer if there was something like that we could purchase…id be on that QUICK! =)

This is what I thought it was going to be, to be honest, before everyone started talking like it was a massive crossover.
I’m looking forward to the new show, but it’s going to have to be very good if it’s going to replace lg15 and KM.
I’m hoping this new show will be able to answer questions from the other two shows while remaining accessible to new viewers.

Ditto. Me wants a DVD. (I’d like to see it with the LGPedia numbering instead of the official numbering, though. Not sure if that’s possible.)

The reason why we have ‘misconceptions’ about this annoucement is because you arnt really telling us anything, except that you are ending the one thing we enjoy watching :/
Your ending something we/most of us watch every day and have been for the past 2 years nearly, and not telling us if we will be able to see our favourite characters in the new shows.
Im still a little angry about LG15 ending, but i know that it will be a big ending, and im hopeful that this new venture will be good to watch as ive enjoyed the LG15 ride and its writers really do know how to keep us in suspense for a weekend! Hopefully you will hear/read our pleas and are keeping some of the characters/actors for the future project.

Despite how sad I feel for the end of the first ever show in the LG15 universe (sob, sniff), I can’t help but feel extremely excited to see the new shows in American AND Europe.
And I would TOTALLY buy an LG15 dvd and KM dvd, even if all the shows are available for free online. I would just buy it so I can see it on a bigger screen and for the behind the scenes interviews and other special features.
Finally, I hope the characters of these new series are just as likable and loveable as Jonas, Sarah, Daniel, Emma, Taylor, Spencer, Charlie, Steve, Tariq, Gavin, Julia, Lauren, and Lee. And everyone else who we might be saying farewell to.

I just saw comments about Sarah and Daniel and other main characters coming back for the new shows.
This is just my insight, but I really do see this as the end (but maybe not total end) of those characters. Sarah and Daniel seem to just want to be together and wish others luck in fighting the Order, because they’ve finally admitted their feelings for each other and couldn’t be happier. Plus, the actors themselves, Yousef and Lexi, will probably want to move on to other ventures.
Just a thought! I hope I’m wrong, but it does seem like their characters’ stories are beginning to wrap themselves up.

Hi… I’ve been watching this show for almost 2 years… it has become a daily habit to check the site and see what these characters are up to. I tried to get into KM, but it was harder to connect with those characters. I hope it’s good… I don’t know if i can invest so much time into new characters. Please give us a little more information.

Thank you for the news. I am looking forward to whatever plans you might have. I like being surprised, so I’m not going to ask how the show will end, with how many episodes, or who will continue on in the new series. I’m happy to be entertained, and I look forward to being continually entertained. Keep up the good work, and keep them coming! And thanks for keeping us somewhat in the loop with where you’re going, just don’t spoil too much.

I’m kind of glad LG15 is ending, it has been going in circles for quite a long time. I think a fresh, new plotline will bring it back to life. ‘Sides, it all just kind of went downhill after Bree died.

Can the new show in America take place in the Mid-West? I would love that considering I never get to go to the live events what with them being so far away. D: *crosses fingers*
I really hope you at least keep some of the characters we love and move them over to the new show. Personally, I think I’d rather have that. :/
When is the new series starting? Since the finale for LG15 is in August, I’m hoping pretty soon. With school starting back up again shortly after the finale, I’ll need something to keep my spirits up. xP
I also would buy DVDs. It’d be awesome to have a boxset. Man. That’d be the ultimate Christmas present…

So I’ll add my question to the board. I just wanted to make sure that my assumption was correct.
The only way I’d ever be able to watch the new show, is if the videos are in the same only-a-few-minutes-long sort of time range. That worked perfect for me, and I’m just hoping that part of the LG15 will never change.
Please tell me it will be the same!

Hi Amanda. Thanks for talking a bit more about this. Will some of the main characters from LG15 and KM cross over to be new characters in the new series? Because, I mean, I think it would be good if Jonas was still around, or Emma, on a regular basis so that there could be a definite emotional connection to the new show. I agree with the people who said that LG15 wasn’t really the same after Bree died, and so I think a new show could work just as well as what LG15 has become, but I would hope that it wasn’t a complete deviation from the characters we all already know.
I also hope that the LG15 final ties up all the loose ends that are floating around, so that the questions that we all still have are answered. I mean, obviously if a character does cross over into the new show, there would still be questions surrounding that character, but…for the ones who we won’t see again, or who it’s unlikely that we’ll see again, I would like for everything to be wrapped up for them. And I would like for the LG15 plot to be wrapped up and not left on some kind of cliffhanger that we’ll never be able to come back to. Anyway, you asked for comments, so there’s my two cents. I hope the new show is even half as good as LG15.

I am so sad to see LG15 and KM go… It’s almost like we’ve become friends with the characters, feel like we’re part of the story… I am really going to miss coming home to watch after a hard day! I really hope that the new series will be as exciting and loved as LG and KM. Good luck with the new series and i hope to see at least Daniel and Charlie in the new one!!!!

I agree with Sarah….you need a Canadian show for sure. With that being said, Ontario of course, would have to be the province of choice, being the most populous. As for the city, Toronto is soooooo overrated….now London, On (which is coincidentally about 35 min from my house)….well KM was set in London, England, I think we should continue with that….

OMG I have been watching the show from Scotland UK for so long and I really cant believe this story is ending! Kate Modern is just not anywhere close to the greatness that is LG15.
Please, please bring back Bree for the final episodes!
