Even tied up, Carl, played by Craig Coyne, manages to be scary. Read more about Carl and his history on the LGPedia.

In Evergreen Saves the Day, Jennie sent documents she obtained from the Salinas campaign to a fan to help figure them out. Evergreen stepped up to the plate and not only figured out what the documents meant but turned them over to the authorities.
Evergreen submitted the winning poster entry (and a chosen video) in the Fight the Order contest for those living outside of California. For her prize, she was chosen to appear in an LG15 video. Although she was sent a script and the LG15 editors finished the video, Evergreen was on her own in the filming of the video, coordinating the lighting, set, and direction, and filming it all with the video mode of her digital camera.
A few facts about “Evergreen Saves the Day”:
Evergreen notes that the experience of being in an LG15 video brought her closer to the fans, chatting with many as the video was released and afterwards. She even discovered that a work colleague who sits just a few cubicles away is an avid LG15 fan.
For more information, see Evergreen’s LGPedia page.

Yesterday, Greg, Miles, and I attended the 12th Annual Webby Awards in New York City, where lonelygirl15 was given the award for People’s Voice Best Drama Series. I had planned on sending pictures and updates to InsideLG15 from the ceremony, but I didn’t get cell service in the auditorium (you’d think of all the places there would be full coverage there.)

The Webbys have a very strict policy when it comes to your acceptance speech: it can only be five words. After about 100 awards were given out I was very thankful for this policy. Many of the five word speeches were humorous or ironic, such as Onion News Network, which won for People’s Voice Best Writing: “together, we’ll make reading obsolete.” Or serious, such as “the internet is a documentary” (NFB Filmmaker in Residence, winner for Best Documentary Series).
I decided to acknowledge the people without whom none of this would be possible: cast, crew, family, community, thanks!
Thank you!
- Amanda

A ranking of the top 50 innovators leading Hollywood’s march online (Hollywood Reporter)
“37. Miles Beckett
CEO, EQAL
It’s tough enough to succeed once in online video, but Beckett has steered his production company to the impossible: two Internet megahits. The seminal “Lonelygirl15″ started it all, but then EQAL followed with “KateModern.” Now Beckett is taking his company to the next level, thanks to $5 million in funding from investors, including Netscape founder Marc Andreessen, and a first-look nonexclusive deal with CBS that will see EQAL collaborate with the network on digital extensions for existing series and maybe even some new projects. If Beckett & Co. can’t show an old dog new tricks, who can?”
