The beginning of the end…
Hi everyone,
After a year of amazing videos, fan interaction, live events and innovative story-telling, the KateModern online series will be coming to an end on the 28th of June.
Telling this story has been so much fun and although it will be sad to say goodbye to Charlie, Gavin, Steve, Julia, Lee, Lauren and Sophie, we all feel proud to have created a show that has definitely earned its place in TV and internet history.
Thank you so much for your continued support. Our online audience is so incredibly reactive and encouraging and as a production team we feel really privileged to have so much interaction and feedback.
We have some very special plans for the final weeks of the story, but in true KateModern style, you’ll just have to stay locked on to see how things unfold…
Hopefully I’ll see you all at Rupert and Julia’s wedding this weekend? I have a funny feeling about that guy…

The LG15 universe continues on LG15.com where you can follow the story of lonelygirl15, KateModern’s sister show in the US. Additionally, the creators of KateModern have launched a social entertainment company, EQAL (pronounced ‘Equal’) www.eqal.com, and we’ll be producing new interactive shows in the US, UK, and around the world (even some more stories involving the Order…).

I’m sad that KM stops, I love the show so much
I sure will miss it a lot! But I hope the final week will be awesome and that some questions will answered. About Kate’s past, where her nightmares came from and why she changed her name.
I wanna thank the KM crew for making such a wonderfull show!

Is there any specific reason why Katemodern is ending that you could tell us?

Could we have some sort of official word on why the show is ending? At the moment we can but only guess and without an official answer.
Include Lauren in your next new interactive show you produce set in the UK. A story of her battle against the order for revenge and answers and even against Terrance would be great.

the timing of it seams quite odd to me. especially on the 2 year anniv of lg15 yt being created and everything.

I’m not happy.
But I understand that they all are needing to move on…. but seriously… I’m really upset by this.
In an ideal world, some of the characters would crossover to either LG on a more permanent level, or will move to work on future projects in the UK. I’m really sad to be hearing it’s over, but I’m glad that we’ve had such a great time with this series…

This is so sad.. I loved Kate Modern! It had a more adult feel to it.. oh well. I’m glad to see that there are more shows in the future, but I loved KM!
Also, I’d love to know why you decided to end the show.

NOOOOOOOOOOO! I started out with LG and still watch it every day, but somehow I could relate better to KateModern and really really really liked it. But yeah, I guess everything needs to end sometime. But why cant just Charlie and Gav and Lee go on and have just fun videos without the order messing up their lifes anymore? Like a new show with the old characters?

This feels too random. Is there a such thing as belated April Fool’s??
If it’s really ending we’d better get a few things straight.
–Tariq needs to come back. We need closure on wtf is up with him.
–Julia needs to become awesome again.
–Someone has to die. Someone we REALLY LOVE. I hate that you guys just kill off whoever we don’t like. That’s not how creative writing works, folks.
–Steve has to become awesome again.
–We need to find out who Kate’s “helper” was before she died.
–We need to find out more about who Kate was and what she was running from before she changed her name. **THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT**
–Gavin needs to do something really good and brave to reestablish his good reputation.
–Something has to happen with Terrence.
–Julia needs to dump Rupert.
–Rupert needs to be established as either a good or bad guy.

I also would really like it if we could have another cool artsy creepy video like awful dream. Like, even if its just footage found from before Kate died. Those were the best part of the show, imo.

The story we set out to tell in KateModern is almost over… I’m sorry this sucks. This has been a really difficult day.

Ahh! I’m so sad. Whenever I wasn’t very interested in LG15 I was interested in the KM vids and vice versa. And I really like the characters in KM. Even Lee has grown on me.
Well, just make sure you let the cast and crew of KM know how much we love them!

Yes! Do Meryl Modern! Her character has got so much angst, which needs to be explained! (Plus then you can just keep the show and change the focus. :P)

its pretty upsetting that its all nearly over, but i do think we deserve official word on why its ending, it just cant be, “oh thats the endof the story”. if that was the case lg15 would have ended with season one! everyone should check out www.bebo.com/savekatemodern !!!

As much as I hate to admit it, this may be the thing to do. Quit while you’re on top. The first thing that comes to mind is the old Tracey Ullman show. She stopped it when it was still a #1 hit.
Anyway, KM has gone above and beyond my expectations, and I hope that it has opened more doors for the entire cast and crew who I really admire and adore.

Thank you everyone who puts KM together. I am so much more interested in KM then LG15. I will miss it so much. I will probably watch lg15 in hopes of seeing a KM character again!.
I do hope that we get some closure on the issues mentioned by JALG (Loretta) that would be really nice.

This seems sad now, but in the long run this is good for KateModern: because they’re quitting while they’re at the top of their game, they can be forever remembered as a series that didn’t just jump the shark and fade away into crappiness.

I love Katemodern and have been following since the beginning! I’m glad to hear that the story is going to come to an awesome close, and not be drug out. All good stories have amazing endings! Can’t wait to hear this one!
