I’m not criticizing the Creators, but I feel as though I should voice my opinion. As much as I’m proud to see how far lonelygirl has come, I feel as though what’s happening is the “selling out” of lonelygirl. Soon, it’ll be a multi-million dollar company, and the community will matter much less. I also feel as though the community will be split up among the shows. I’m sorry if this came out bad, but I just feel as though I needed to voice my opinion.

I usually look at the Google News and you guys were top under Sci/Tech! Congrats!
And while I too am worried about “selling out”, this production company will only help boost the quality and professionalism of the videos.

Surf - On the EQAL website they talk about how important the community is! I think that of all things will stay the same, because with out us there isn’t a show!
April 17th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
Surf, at first I was really concerned with that as well, or rather, was right as KM came out.
But now, I see the addition of Inside, and the amount of the community that watches both KM and LG (including people who got interested with KM and decided to watch LG and be active in the community because of it), and I feel like this is just an added enhancement.
I totally feel your concern, but I also think that the need to grow is a big one, and I very much feel a connection to the creators, like they are doing everything they can to get the fans more involved. Honestly, I feel like, surprisingly enough, rather than selling out and us having less community involvement, the community stuff has only INCREASED. I feel like they’ve created a lot of contests, fun, puzzles, etc that really enhance the community rather than limit it. Plus, like I mentioned, InsideLG really gives us an even better look, and allows for yet more fan interactivity by comments (creators and fans alike post on the boards), the fan art that’s been created, and even community series/rpg/etc that are mentioned on here… I truly feel like we’ve only gotten the opposite of what you’re mentioning.
Just my opinion, though…

Onward and upward - many congratulations to the EQAL team.
And a gold star to whoever came up with the idea of beginning the series crossover the same week as the EQAL unveiling, maximum media exposure and all that. Very clever.
