After the Live Event
Thank you to everyone who attended the Live Event in San Francisco and participated from home. We had a great time conceiving and executing this event. The most rewarding part, however, was meeting all of you in person. No one could ask for a better community!

Another live event would be amazing! The interactive phone call thing was also a good idea because midwest and east coast people could be involved too. I’d like to see more plot emphasis during season 3, although a few action vids always keep things exciting.

the live events looked like a lot of fun. defiantly more in season three. maybe not ALL of them in Cali…….maybe one in Tennessee….lol doubt it.

I was chatting in IRC about the use of the phone during the live event, and modelmotion commented that a cell phone provider might be interested in sponsoring such an event… or some other sponsor to pay for limited use, video-capable, pre-paid phones to pass out to participants.
If something like that could be arranged, with some in-story reason to take footage during the event, and upload the videos, that could be a cool way to combine puzzle elements with fan interaction with videos that those not in attendance could examine for clues.
It would need to be something that would require multiple observers from different locations to get all the necessary pieces … and you would need a back-up plan to fill in the blanks in case something vital was missed.
Just a rough idea…

I think that another live event would be awesome. Personally the idea was really cool, but I think the official video kinda fell short. Knowing that there are gonna be people with cameras at the event, it doesn’t make sense to have the cameraman (Kevin Schlanser, right?) following the fans. I would have much rather seen a video from Jonas and Daniel’s perspective, so there could have been a whole Parallax thing going on. Also, the fans aren’t as much “in character” as the actors, so the whole video felt like a behind the scenes thing.
Otherwise it was great!

I am in no way trying to rush the creators or anything, but did anyone who made an addiction video get their picture yet? Because i’m scared that while I was at school that my parents were like “Oh, this is junk mail” and threw it out…..

Personally, I think that LG15 should come to ARGFest again, and do a live event THERE.

I have mentioned trying to plan a LG15 Convention for the EST fans in chat. Several individuals have shown interest and a couple have volunteered to be a part of the planning committee. The thing that I think would really make a regional convention like this fly is a visit from a member (or a couple??) of the cast. What would really blow my mind is to see a vid shot at/during the convention and see it fit into the plot!!! I’m still gathering ideas for the 1-day summer event (’08? ‘09??), but hopefully we can start actively planning it soon! Would you consider being a part of this awesome gathering of LG15 addicts in the EST? Or maybe you could use the convention to launch another ARG, product placement… thoughts?

Oooh, it’d be really nice to have a live event in Cleveland. :D!!
Also, maybe more conference calls! That’d be awesome as well…because if it’s impossible to have a live event in the Eastern Time Zone, then you might as well try and involve us EST timers somehow a little more!
Maybe a little bit more action packed? And I’d really like there to be more shock value. I wasn’t all that surprised with the deaths. You can’t please everyone, though!

More live events would be fantastic! The only problem is that the ones you’ve had have been on workdays, in the middle of the day. I know that, logistically, that may be easier for production…but in reality it leaves a lot of fans unable to participate or attend. Also, it makes it so the same few will attend…and that leaves some of us a little out of the loop.
What I’d really like to see is some form of treasure hunt related to the story…one that would require fans to get seriously involved (ARG style) in order to actually help the story along…one that truly depends upon the fans in order to move the story…not one that is kind of spoon fed to us like the memo in order fit within something already filmed. Yeah, I know this would be more complicated…but you can do it. Having something like this would allow fans who couldn’t attend live events to feel more involved in the live progression of the story, rather than a spectator. The conference call was kind of lame, though…not that it wasn’t a good idea, but it just came off a bit…hokey.

Though, I would like them spread out.
Of course, I would LOVE on in SF again.

The more live events and character interaction opportunities the better, I say.
I loved that the fountain at Ghiradelli had wifi AND the camera so that we could be interacting with the folks at home.

Action packed, plot orientated, Daniel and Sarah getting back together (and STAYING together :P) . . .
AND definitely more live events! That’s what makes this kind of series so unique from anything in theatres or on television . . . we’re as much of the story as you guys!!
Do them in multiple cities too, so that I have a fighting chance (did I say “I” . . . I meant “me” — DRAT, I meant “we” . . . yeah, that’s what I meant :P)

Yeah!! More live events in Season 3. The live event was Amazing to watch!! So cool! I would totally heart the creators forever if they had the next live event in my home town (Vancouver, Canada) … although, seeing as that is unlikely… Seattle would be great!! I would very likely come if it was in Seattle.

I would say plot-driven. I would love to see more of the kind of thing that we saw in Season 1 like the covert operations of the Order or factions of the Order trying to mess with our minds.. like with the La Resizto (sp?) videos and the old Hymn ‘commercials’ with Bree. Also, the ARG, while difficult to follow, was very very interesting. Perhaps something more along that line.. but posted in a central location where it wasn’t as difficult to follow? And I also really enjoyed the codes and clues and creepy side stories. That’s what got me hooked originally. Also, more fan participation is always a plus! Thanks

I think everyone would agree we all love the live events. And I know you guys are based in California, but if you could branch out a bit into other states (like Arizona and others close to California) so more people can be involved, that’d be great :] I’m only saying this for the sake of other people, since I’m pretty sure I’m REALLY close to where you guys film. The stalker video of Mallory is where I buy groceries! XD

Rekidk’s suggestion of doing an event at a popular convention like ARGfest is a good one, as it gives out of towners a reason to travel… another good choice would be something around or at ComicCon.
The LOST Experience (ARG) involved fans finding a bunch of glyphs and codes in various media and online, and some of the glyphs were worn at ComicCon on wristbands worn by the LOST actors… fans photographed them and shared them online.
I could see something for LG15 involving Watcher’s walking around the ComicCon convention, with fans needing to spy on them, eavesdrop on telephone conversations, and put together clues to find a secret Order meeting or something like that. A photo could be posted online of someone to find and give a password to for more info… things like that could make it a multi-day event.
Again, just rough thoughts…

the live events aren’t all that exciting for me, because there’s no way i can be at any of them (unless the cast and crew would like a holiday in NZ? it’s nice and sunny here!). but i think they’re a great idea, and the more the better! conference calls are also too expensive for those of us watching from outside the states. to involve as many fans as possible, online events of some sort would be great. just keep the interaction alive, it’s awesome!

Another live event, in TAMPA,FL would be the best, or even better ybor city,its near tampa and filled with stuff to do, or the port of tampa, Or yeah anywhere in tampa, because then I could be there, and it would make me and other LG15 fans really happy.So this is me begging,to do a live event in tampa, with jackson,yousef, and katherine *they are my absolute faves*. If there was some sort of like 2-3 day LG15CON thing, I’d so be there as long as I had enough notice, and it was cheap enough. I’d make the arragements to go to cali or wherever it was in order to go. Or it would be great if over the summer you could do like a 4 corners thing Cali/New Mexico, then Washington state, then Maine, and then down here to tampa, each stop doing a like meet and greet, q&a, fan fun thing the first day, and then filming an interactive event the next. Yeah.My ideas rock.

Defiantly more live events! but somewhere different, there is a great deal of florida fans here.. A LOT more than I ever expected..probably somewhere in the middle of florida would be best, tampa is too far for most people..so I think somewhere in the middle would be better.. I think a lot of people would show up/make the effort to go
